Nathaniel Williams, Sr. , 79 , Navasota, Tx. , expired June 28, 2026 , in the confines of the family home in Navasota , Tx. He was born , to the parentage of Mr. R. D. & Mozell Cotton Bates WIlliams, Feb. 12, 1947, Lubbock, Tx and he attended the Washington Co. , Tx. public schools. Nathaniel met and married the former Miss Karen F. Motley in 1967, to which union, Sons, Nathaniel , Jr. and Darrell were born. Nat, persevered through life, serving with the Job Corps, and also becoming the FIRST Black Chef, to cook in Indianapolis, IN, during the early 60's. His other work experiences, include Dickey 's Tire Shop, and working in his Family's entertainment lounge, of which he was the 'DJ' Man, often offering his signature phrase " WORK CHILLINS ." Nathaniel 's hobbies include organizing a Baseball team, " Shoots Mobile Home " Nat, Sr. was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Roosevelt, Lester, Troy and Don Williams. He leaves pleasant memories with his wife, Karen F. Williams, of Indianapolis, IN. , sons, Nathaniel Williams, Jr. ( Carolyn ) of Navasota , and Darrell M. Williams ( Rebecca ) of Galveston, Tx.; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a Brother, James Williams, Sr. of Dickinson, Tx., and a Sister, Mrs. Shirley W. Gildstrap of Navasota, Tx.; neices and nephews, and other collateral relatives and friends . Mr. Nathaniel Williams, Sr. was interred in the Centerpoint Cemetery, 14885 Hwy 1774, Plantersville , Tx. 77363

Richard L. Lipscomb

Navasota, Tx
Richard Louis Lipscomb, 70 , of Navasota, passed on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the Navasota Nursing and Rehabilition Center, following a brief illness. Richard was born , July 11, 1955 to Mr. Williams and Ms. Betty G, Lipscomb, in Old Washington, Washington County, Tx. He attended local public schools of the area, and was a Navasota, High School graduate , with Class of '74, and thereafter, he pursued many professions, working with the Tx. Dept of Highways and was an employee with NISD. (Navasota). Richard was a licensed Electrician. It would be appropriate to point to the Church, as part of his experience, in shaping his musical upbringing, in the Navasota area, which includes Greater New Hope Baptist on the Piedmont Rd. He was a versatile musician, ( not un-like his great - grandfather, the GREAT ! MANCE LiPSCOMB, of Navasota, Grimes Co., Tx. ), having played in various bands in South Texas; and he was able to have his music recorded with the-- 58 Engineer's , as such. Mr. Lipscomb leaves cherish memories with a devoted Uncle, Mr., Jimmy Lipscomb, of Navasota ; Uncle Leroy of the Woodlands, Tx. and Willie of Houston, Tx. AUNTS, Francis of Old Washington, and Dorothy and Ruby of Houston, Tx., a Sister, Mrs. Bonnie Blackmon and a brother, Charles, both of Houston, Tx. and a brother Fred , associated with the State of Texas , and numerous other collateral relatives and friends . On July 05. 2026., in keeping with his desires, Cremation services were preformed .

Robert C. Turner



Turner, Robert Charles , 73 of Bryan, Tx. and formerly of Anderson, Tx.passed on Friday morning , in the Legacy Nursing and Rehabilition Center, Bryan, Texas, following a lengthy illness, due to an auto - pedestrian accident, 2024.He was born July 19, 1952, one of seven children, to the parentage of Andrew Turner, Jr & Mary Minor Turner, in Anderson, Grimes County, Tx. , and he attended the local community school . Robert was employed in several industries, in the area. He was a father , to son, Broderick Turner, and Husband to the former, Miss Mary Nobles, of Grimes Co.,Tx. Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Freddie and David ; and a sister, Hattie T. Brunson. He leaves to cherish pleasant thoughts, with his wife, Mrs. Estella Handerson Turner, of Navasota , Grimes Co., Tx ; a son, Broderick Turner of College Station, Tx.; several grandchildren,; sisters, Vernice & Pearlie; step -sisters , Gail, DeElla and Pam ; step - brothers, Andrew Phillip Turner , Terry & Larry Banks and Stanley Creeks and other collateral relatives and friends.
